Multiple problems with multiplayer

Hi. Me and a friend tried during 3 hours last night to play a MP game. I'm behind a router and I think he is not. We both can enter the lobby, start a game, invite the other player and begin a game, but any MP game we tried freezes on the first steps, sometimes during the rally phase, sometimes during the first impulses. We never were able to finish a round. Half time, one of us lose the connection and the other one continues with the AI, other half we both stand in front of a frozen screen.
I'm used to play turn by turn games with PBEM+ Slitherine system and had no trouble before.
What can we do?.

Hi Moët,

Next time you try to connect bypass your router. If you can connect then your router is the problem.

Check your routers documentation as to how to create exceptions. Then except HoS.

Alternately connect to another player without bypassing your router to confirm if it is your friends problem.

If you need to know port information for the router, ports 9100 and 9150 are the ones used.

Thanks. Is "HoS" the game's name seen by the router?

I've opened those ports but the scenarios still stop after few seconds.

I was not able to connect the computer directly to Internet (without passing through the router) because there is no player on the game server. [&:]
