Can anyone explain the combat scree? Specifically the columns on the left and right that have a number at the top and that fill with blue or gray depending on the side. I really can't tell what's going on and just wait for it to finish.

I believe the numbers represent "attack power or combat power". Something like that.

Still no one with an answer to this one?
