I'm puzzled how this type of contemporary observation equipment could be modeled? Removing fog-of-war is so lame.
Or is its something that necessarily needs an engine update??

We would need to add in some code to allow air recon missions similar to air strikes that would allow for detecting enemy units on the maps if the aircraft does not get shot down or run off. Work it like a one shot peek at a given map area. We will be talking about this as we work Fog of War elements for the 2.04 update. So the timing is good.

UAVs can loiter for hours.
Could probably model them like Oh-58s, except harder to shoot at.
