I have no idea of how they are on all of their other ratings, but to me on this one they are dead wrong.

From the different polls on sites the average wargamer is 40-45 and started in board wargames.

This precisely the audience that will like this game.

It doesn't have the glitz of some other games or the thundering music, which I turn off after listening to for five minutes.

It is precisely as a PC port of a true wargame that this game shines.

Just as many good board wargames it is based on logistics and not just unreal behavior.

It is true that being a historical game set in 43-44 Italy it is a slower game. You are not going to see sweeping tank attacks or have the land area to always go for the flanks etc..

It is a game that depicts the historical campaign and does it well.

They could have at least got Frank's name correct [;)]

As a print journalist, that would get me fired.

First at all, Thanks for the Input.

If i recall some AAR right, the main game mechanic is supply management & WEGO.
What i like so far i researched over the Internet, is the clear Interface, No Accounting Columns, and a manageable Size. (Reading no WITE)
On the other End? Well i'm worried about Replay Value, and some other Discussions mentioned to play the Axis is a bore.

Well let's wait for the 1st Patch & Manual Update... so far i'm not convinced to put put 31 €uros....

Anybody some 50cent?

Best Regards from cloudy Germany

Knowing the dev, I didn't expect an editor. But surely, xml modding would be nice. I am a bit concerned about replay value, but bought it based on GoA, and the fact that the supply focus and design is different from most other wargames. Takes a bit of thought, but not bogged down in WitE minutae. Moves quickly, but not with the automatic supply of Germany at War. You have to plan your offensives/defensives and not just push counters around.

As we all know, if PFE doesn't sell it will stagnate. While a more popular game like Lock n' Load will continue to evolve, with all kinds of mods, expansions and dlc. That is my primary concern. One answer would be for Matrix to release an extra scenario in a patch to keep things interesting and get people like you off the fence [;)]
