First impressions

Guys,
I thought I would provide you my feedback having taken advantage of the reduced price.
The game feels pretty much like other slitherine releases - such as Panzer Corps.
Click to select, click to select enemy units(see odds) click again to attack.
I am playing through as Entente Allies and its mid 1916.
My feedback points are as follows:
Good
1. Game is easy to pick up and play.
2. Graphically looks good although perhaps the style is a bit dated (even in replicating WW1)
3. AI gives a decent land battle
4. Good choice of start dates
5. Newspaper at unique points adds historic interest
6. Loads and saves quickly
Could be improved
1. Units don't gain experience - unlike other slitherine titles - this would be a great addition
2. AI overuses small garrison units (in latest patch ) - these on an attacking front are just wrong - perhaps a routine to restrict them to the hexes from where they spawn would be useful.
3. Game becomes boring once the fronts stabilise - an enhancement would be to add in WW1 issues such as desertion / illness - trench foot / - Also bonus for flanking units / local victories giving a boost to neighbouring troops etc / units with medals for valiant efforts -something to give this game another dimension please!!
4. Country ammo limit is too restrictive - 10 for art makes for too many lulls in battle
5. AI at seas battles is useless. too easy to defeat
6. Sending troops abroad should be simulated either with a delay or a troop ship setting sail - choice then to link a cruiser to act as escort
7. Air war is hardy effective - I guess like WW1 but again it needs something like recon to add another dimension
8. research tree is bland - in my game, (from the very start) new tech provides very little gain - air and sea not required really.
9. Not enough unit types - what about sappers (engineers) - a big part of the trench war was digging tunnels - this would enhance the game loads.
10. Game slows down randomly after playing - it craws sometimes through a turn (started for me in 1915) - a restart seemed to help.
Overall, I like the concept but im not convinced that it has the replayability of other titles - it wont make it to my iPad put it that way.
