Smooth Bordeaux (1964) -- New scenario for testing

Here is the beta version of my newest scenario. It's 1964. Tensions between France and Togo have increased in the last several months, since the coup in Togo that took place in 1963. French citizens were killed in the reprisals that resulted and France is making a punitive strike. Togo should not be that hard to punish, right? Except it appears that Egypt, sympathetic to a small African nation in a dispute with a former colonial power, has sold Togo some jets and patrol boats...

Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

First time out: Moved my missile destroyer too close, too soon, and suffered an embarrasing loss to the MB.326's. Total defeat.

Second time. Played more cautiously, yet still tried to use my Alizes in the ground-attack role they were not suited for and lost two of them, as well as one F-8 in the initial dogfight. Still smashed the airfield and won a minor victory.

Not a bad scenario.

really enjoy these well thought out small scenarios
you get to see how effective weapon systems are :-)
I ended up using the F8s to straff which was fun

I lost a few F8s and got La Galissonniere in too close :-)

shame soem one didnt sell them a Sub, now that would be a very nasty surprise and give the french something to fire the Malafons at ;-)

From JANES 1964-65
Togo has 3 x patrol boats 100 ft and 1 river gun boat steel hulled 95 ft.

no details are given .
