A new scenario for testing...

Trinidad and Tobago, by 2020, has used some of the aid money it has received from China to build up its military. The government is corrupt and working with drug lords. The United States has decided that enough is enough. They have dispatched a Littoral Combat Group (LCG) to deal with the matter...

Hey Yokes, trying this out. Noticed one odd thing, if I try using no-pulse time acceleration the sim comes to a screeching halt, whereas pulsed is fine.

So as you can see in the AAR section, it was fun! One note though: I tried to launch a SEAL team via submersible and helicopter and directed them to the island, but there was no way to actually spawn SEALs there (I assume the events for it don't exist.) Had to use a UAV to kill Fernando.

Any more thoughts on this one or is it ready to submit for the Community Scenario Pack? Thanks.

Just a small note, I'm not sure the LRASM was supposed to be able to hit anything other than surface ships (though it was darned useful)

This is a really good scenario. The only comment I have is that the period at the end where you sit with your ships parked off the island felt a bit unnecessary given that there's no threat to them by this point in the scenario.

I lost a Knighthawk to the SA-15s, which I then clobbered with LRASMs (which sadly also blew up some civilian trucks). The MANPADs were a nasty surprise, and downed both of my armed Fire Scouts before more Tomahawks could arrive to take them out. I blew up the drug lord's car with a TACTOM and sank two of the patrol boats with the submarine and the other two with Hellfires from the Romeo Seahawks.

The scoring might need to be tweaked - despite losing three aircraft (and presumably the 2-3 aircrew on the Seahawk) to an inferior force, I scored a major victory. I'd suggest including a largish penalty for losing any of the manned helicopters.

Great work Mgellis, I really enjoyed playing through this one. Everything ran fine; the scenario size and OOB's were perfect. I do have a couple suggestions/questions;

1. At the start of the scenario no helicopters are ready on any ships, it would be nice to have a couple maritime surveillance assets ready to go.

2. I think you should add an event that transports a Seal team in when the helicopter enters a marked area, that would add to the replayability value.

3. A note telling us what to do with the .ini file would be nice, was not sure where to put it or what to do with it, got some help with that and everything worked though.

Again really enjoyed this one, I'll probably write up an AAR on this, I did things a little differently and fulfilled multiple objectives by parking the Burke ~11nm off the coast and using it's 5" cannon to destroy targets. (Hence all the shells in the expenditure section)
