Attacking subs. What am I doing wrong?

(H3)I have a Sea king over a sub and when I try to attack it I get the window to select weapon but it says the Mk 46 is not capable. Tried it with different choppers and ships.
What am I not doing?
Any help would be appreciated.

A few questions to track it down:
- which Version of H3 do you use: H3 3.6.3, H3 ANW 3.9.4 or H3 UE 3.11 ?
- which database do you use?
- which Scenario is it?

Forgive my ignorance but how do I upload a file?
Never mind I see it.

I´ve just played it, too. I think this is an database issue, the torpedo doesn´t work properly.
I changed the database from HUD3 to Harpoon 3 Standard Database. There you have all those stock Scenarios, too. And here the torpedoes work.
The HUD3 is an old database written by Darren Buckley who passed away in 2011. So there are no updates anymore.
If you use the latest ANW Version, H3 UE V 3.11, you can use the follower, the HUD 4, written by Francois Guerin. But for this one, there are no rebuilt stock Scenarios available.
Thus you could use the Harpoon 3 Standard Database, too.
Since Harpoon is no longer updated, you should give Command a try:

Well, it worked this time around. I'll just go back to the default DB.
Why is Matrix selling a game that isn't supported any more? My mouse doesn't work with H3UE.
I could have saved the money which isn't chump change. I have H3 on another disk and I have H2002.
The Huce techs still support that game usually same day.
I plan on getting that new game but at $100 a pop for the box version it will have to wait a month or two or my wife will hit the roof.[:)]
