Facing

This is a continuation on the facing discussion here:

tm.asp?m=3577395

I have put together a series of steps that shows an example of what happens here, but I have done it several times now and the results varies.
Sometimes the HQ takes on the north facing right away other times after a save.

Also on one occasion I got the HQ facing north after a load without giving any bombard orders at all to its attached subordinates, so it would seem that it is indeed the save that is causing the facing to change for the HQ...sometimes.
Its definitely the bombard order, with an open box that is causing the bombard capable units to face north though.

It all seems very higgledy pickaldy, but if I was to recommend somewhere to start looking for the smoking gun (good pun there), it would be with the bombard order.

This issue looks like it is going to be a real pain to fix to me, and is probably why it has gone on for so long.

Undoubtedly it will throw up other problems if you attempt to sort it, as it seems to be deep rooted.
Its not a game breaker, but would be nice if it is fixed for Command Ops 2.

In figure 5 above the Bn HQ's Unit Info Box is pink indicating it is receiving orders. Was this Bn HQ under human control? If so, what orders had you issued it or changed?

I think its pink because of the mortar Pl detaching from the formation to do its bombard mission.
If the HQ was not set to defend in situ, this would be the orders to the remaining units for the new formation, to take into account the detachment of the mortar Pl, would it not?
