Supply problem during land combat

Hi,
I am new to MWiF and playing my first solitaire game (Barbarossa). (Version 1.1.6.2)
I just stumbled over a problem during the axis land movement phase.
I moved the I Inf to hex 51,52. I would expect, that Timoshenko is now out of supply, but nothing happend.
The unit is still shown as in supply.
But if I afterwards move any other German HQ (not any other unit) adjacent to an enemy unit,
it seems that the program recalculates supply and shows Timoshenko as OOS.
Regards
Peter

It's a bug. Possible solution: save and restore the game again. This forces recalculation of supply and should clear away your problem.

Hi Peter,
thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately here is another one, I saw yesterday. The Save/Restore-workaround does not solve it.
I would expect that the 14 Inf should be OOS. But MWif believes that it gets supply from Leningrad!?
Maybe someone has another workaround for this.
If necessary, I could provide the save file.
Peter

that's not a bug.. I would expect its getting supply overseas since its in a coastal hex. put a german NAV in the sea box and it will be cutoff

That depends on the optional rules which are used. But you are probably right here.
If Limited Overseas Supply is on, than the USSR should have a Transport or a convoy point in the Baltic Sea for supply.
If it is off, the INF is in supply if there are no Axis ships (not TRS/CP or AMPH) or planes with an air-to-sea factor in the Baltic Sea. If there are Axis vessels or planes there, than the presence of a USSR ship or plane with an air-to-sea factor will make sure the INF is in supply...

Agreed on all accounts, but given that the display says its supplied by Leningrad, its getting its supply from sea. Whether its being done properly or not is yet to be seen but I suspect its doing it correctly.

Mark,
I thought about overseas supply, but because both ports here are enemy controlled,
I expected that overseas supply would not be possible, especially as the 4th Mot is OOS.
If I would have read the rules more careful, I should have seen, that
To trace a basic supply path overseas, the unit must be in a coastal hex
or trace the path via a port.
And actually the 14th Inf is in a coastal hex.
Thanks for the clarification
Peter
