Spence, I took this out of the Beta thread.
The way the Betas work is that the ONLY thing they do is put some program stuff in the Beta2 folder. There are no saves, scenario files, or anything else underneath the Beta2 folder.
Below is a pic of the Beta2 folder of one of my installs. When I am loading a new Beta release, I first copy the zip file to the Beta2 folder. Then I extract it right there (in the Beta2 folder). Finally, I run it to install the new Beta release.
Then, I immediately make copies of the dll file and the exe file, and give the copies longer names which include what versions they are (see screen pic).
When I want to upgrade to that version for a different PBM, all I have to do is copy the relevant files from this Beta2 folder over to that Beta2 folder.
