Parent unit error

Hi,

I´ve found a "Parent Unit Error" problem in the "1947-(What if)-Invasion of Nazi Europe" scenario.

There is an Allied French Guerrilla unit in each of those German stacks: 63,96 62,94 and 62,92. All in Belgium. But they can only be seen by the German player, though they cannot be moved by him.

They are named FFI 5e FFI, FFI 7e FFI and FFI 10e FFI and are dark blue and white. When I try to click on them, after clicking on the German units in the stack, the screen freezes and the program crashes... If I move the German units and try to overrun or attack the Guerrilla unit, it does not work - the attack planning dialog does not open, even if the hex is recognized as an ennemy hex.

Those units are scheduled to appear respectively on turn 48, 52 and 58 as Allied Reinforcements - but in other hexes.

Can something be done to fix the problem?

Thanks,
Best,
Fernando

Which Opart version and what's the name and version of the scenario?

fasf,

That is Piero Falotti's original version. That would be WOTY.

You have a number of options.

1. Run the scenario through Martin Goliath's scenario convertor.
2. Visit and log on to Gamesquad, go to the TOAW download section, download Legacy Project Volume XXVII. That has the scenario in 3.4 format.
3. Look for Silvanski's TOAW III mod which is called Europa 1947.

Personally, I would go the Europa 1947 route.

Best wishes,
Steve

Thank you, Steve and Klink.
I found Europa 1947 on thestrategist, but it is version 3.1 for TOAW 3.2.29.27. It seems to work well with 3XBb (the scenario is quite improved. I could not find the Legacy Project Volume XXVII on Gamesquad... In fact, I could not discover where to download scenarios on Gamesquad...

Anyway, thanks again!

Best,
Fernando

There:

You need to register at Game Squad though.

I think it's confusing because the downloads for TOAW are still listed under Talonsoft not Matrix.
