Should cc work on Juno beach.....I understand it doesn't always work on all maps...I sure wish it would ...if this is the case is this something that will be fixed.......LOVE THE JUNO SCEN. BTW!
How about a Canadian Campaign??!! (please...)

Thanks Pops!
Glad you are enjoying it. It was a prodigious job. Thanks to Drake for the map. Between his time and mine, I guess about 100 man hours were put into this one (and that excludes testing time).
A Canadian campaign in on my list. Send me some time, Pops, a few extra hours a day
I always design my scenarios with C&C turned off. I do however, try to set the units so that if you do play with it on, it does not create a big problem for you.
My personal opinion is that in airborne and amphibious operations it is better played turned off.
My reasoning is that these events are often confused, with units all mixed and out of place. It is much different from a coordinated ground assault and defense.
You can try it with C&C on, but it will most likely be much more difficult.
Again, thanks for your kind words. It is a real encouragement. Utah Beach should be next till we cover all five.

I found Wild Bill's comments on designing scenarios with cc off interesting.
I have just posted a scenario to the depot (my first one to be posted) called "Fight to the finish, Tunisia '42".
I designed it with cc off because it is a totally reactive scenario, as at the beginning the human player is caught in a nasty ambush.
I felt it was a bit of a cop out at the time, but now I feel reassured that my thinking is shared by such an experienced designer.
I, too, would love to see a Canadian Normandy campaign, especially one involving the Canadians and their arch-enemies, the 12SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend.

Playing the landing scenarios with C&C on actually adds to the realism. Units ending up in the wrong place, obeying the wrong leaders, not reacting at all because their officers are on the wrong beach etc etc.. makes it feel much like a real confused landing. I like it
Only thing i miss is that the sergeant of an out of control unit should get some orders of his own to spend once in a while (depending on experience, command ratings and morale).. that would be lovely!

Most formations are grouped together in landing craft, though objectives are not assigned. C&C is quite possible with Juno, but I think it would be considerably more difficult. Should be interesting to see.

..my original intent was to point out that I couldn't get CC to work in this scenario...I followed the instrucions (I think) and there was no response (I'll try it again)....I'm trying it mainly because I find it hard to control so many troops on such a large map singularily (who knows I might prefer without cc)
thanks
