Looking at this and realizing this game is IGOUGO but curious if this has the same feel as Sudden Strike

Only in the sense that they are both WW2 tactical games are they alike. Sudden Strike is a real-time game whereas BA is not. I'd say because of that the feel is not the same. In Sudden Strike you are under constant pressure because of its real-time nature. That said I had a blast playing this game back in 2000, even had a small clan of players and we would challenge other players. Great times but alas don't really have the time or desire for real-time games anymore. I never found the AI in Sudden Strike or any of its follow on games very satisfying. I do find the AI in BA and even more so in BA2, to offer a decent and fun gaming experience.

One last thing, BA/BA2 both utilize the Slitherine PBEM+ game server for finding opponents. That is a major enhancement if you like playing against others. You can even setup private games with your own friends.

WoW, someone responded who has played sudden strike. Two points you made I found to be very positive, the pbem and the AI. Yes, I grew tired after a while with sudden strike.@Webizen you earned 5 out of 5 stars for responding after all this time.

I often wonder how some questions can even be asked.

Sudden Strike, and the other forum's question about Blitzkrieg, asking if they are like Battle Academy 1 or 2 is like asking if men are like women.

Well both are humans. End of similarities.

You might like either, but they have nothing in common in a game sense of the word. Saying both are tactical, says nothing of useful value. They are both set in WW2, really doesn't help a person much. Both are computer wargames, again, what that says is nothing.

Sure there has to be an overwhelming level of material out there, such that a person couldn't possibly be unable to know what both games are like, and that they have nothing in common in any useful fashion.

Actually, the answer was very general as was my question. He was right on. I wanted a person who played both. The reason one ask is to avoid going through lot of research. Nothing wrong with the question or response.

Yours was the only response that had nothing to say.
