Display issues

Hello, I am brand new here, and to the game. I just installed Scourge of War anniversary edition. When I open the game, and click play, all of the menu items have no words. No words on the map flags either. Can anyone help me out. I am running windows 7/8.1 on a dell laptop

Perry, you should also put your question in the Scourge of War forum section to get an answer, I'm sure someone will have an answer for you.
