Weather and supply question.

Does weather affect supply lines? I was playing the Axis Campaign and I still had Rome in the winter of 44-45. Suddenly the Rome area went unsupplied. There were clear lines to Florence which showed as the supply source. There was snow turn after turn. I was unable to add replacements or combat supply. Rome quickly fell. The "no path" legend appeared on the units. I'm at a loss about what happened. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I'd have to see your save to know exactly what happened but weather affects everything. It reduces the supply effect of roads and open terrain. For the Allies in winter, it means you can't supply stuff halfway up or down the map.

Thanks Frank. It was definitely the weather. I restarted the game a few turns earlier, played a couple of things differently, and when the weather cleared Rome was once again in supply. I did look in the manual before I posted this because I thought it could be weather related. However, either I missed it or weather effects on supply wasn't stated.
Thanks again for your attention to my questions.
