New Dawn changes

The New Dawn version is interesting but there seem to be a number of ways in which things work differently from the older version. How does the officer/leader system work in relation to supply, for example?
Also, roads don't seem to give any kind of movement advantage for anyone except trains. Surely soldiers march faster on a road than across desert sands or through the jungle. There just doesn't seem to be much information of the whole thing anywhere. Any help?

I don't know about stock game but in GD1938 troops move faster on train and road ways.

Officers and leaders have nothing to do with supply. They are not involved in the logistical system.
Roads sure make a difference. First of all they make the supply layer "larger" I mean more of your area is 100% supplied. And troops sure move faster although footmovement does not make a lot of a difference. Wheeled/halftrack/tracked movement makes a difference though.
You do realize that if you have a "footmovement unit" and you include one or more AT guns/Inf guns, it becomes "Artillery movement". Maybe that's the case?
