Thanks for the new scenario. Just fired it up .... I'd like to make to observations/suggestions:

1. When you start with the CP, it seems the German units can't move (their icons are "grayed out"). This coupled with observation #2 creates a bit of a sticky wicket for the Kaiser's boys.
2. As you point out, Russia is already at war on turn 1. So with German troops unable to nothing, it means the Russians get a massive first strike before the Germans can do anything.

Can I suggest delaying the Russian entry until turn 3(?) as in the main 1914 scenario? The Russians may have been committed to Serbia on Turn 1, but they hadn't completed their mobilization yet. This also gives the Germans a chance to build some units and transfer troops from the west to the east before the Russian hammer falls.

A very minor point is the fact the the scenario still has the event notification of France declaring war on Germany/AH in support of Serbia. No big deal operationally.

How do I download without interrupting my stock game? What are steps involved for this? Then once that is done, How do I activate the scenario for play? Have several MP matches I do not want to lose....Check is in the mail...... Nice job![:)]

Hi guys,this does not affect or change anything in any stock games,its a new scenario that is all.[;)]

There is a read me file with installation instructions in the download.[;)]

Also once you have it installed,you can select this new scenario from the game menu,and play it like any other scenario.[:)]

Registered with Game Front/ hit upload/ a window with my files appear/then I don't know what to do? The window asks for a file? Where is it? and how do I put it in the little space that wants it? Then what? You know I am no genius at this stuff......

Hi Bob,
To gain access to the file you don't need to register with Game Front,all you need to do is click on the link within the forum,after you click on the link the following download button will appear,see photo,click on this and since the file is small,it will only take about 20 seconds to download to your desktop.

Commander The Great War Eastern Front Campaign Scenario.

How to install.( only 3 files need to be installed to play this scenario.)

Always make a backup off your original files,before you make any changes.


Step 1 = Within your games directory,open the data file,and overwrite the English Language file.

Step 2 = Now open the scripts file,and add the Eastern Front Lua file.

Step 3 = Now open the UI file,and overwrite the scenario file.

Step 4 = Your done the new scenario is ready to play enjoy!
