Ok. here is the sad tale. My hard drive crashed and much what was on it is unrecoverable. No big deal I have stuff backed up.
At least I thought i did.

I am trying to restore my SPWAW. I have the mega-campaign, desert fox that has version 5.0 on it. I also have the following updates:

version 6.1
version 6.1 to 7.0
version 7.0 to 7.1

All these files were downloaded from the matrix site. I can't find any readme files with the updates so my question is this. Is there an update I am missing from 5.0 to 6.1? Just for fun I loaded the updates up to 7.0 and have played a few minutes of one scenario and it worked OK. The opening screen of SPWAW listed it as version 7.0.

Am I really at 7.0 or do I have a gap? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're OK to me. Install the v7.1 update and it should show you v7.1 in all games except the MCs which I think still just say v7.0, even if you installed v7.1.

Just keep the backups of your savegames in case there is a problem.

Thanks for responding. It does still seem to be working ok. I
did however find in a previous post an FTP site to get the whole series of upgrades from 5.0. It does contain a 5.0 to 5.1 and a
5.1 to 6.1 update. I think I will start with a fresh install and use all the upgrades. No big deal. Thanks again.
