Sherman tanks are bad at standoff ranges with other German tanks with high velocity cannons, but put them up close to another tank, then they come to life. Even though the 75mm is low velocity, if you get close enough to another tank on it's side or rear and sometimes even front on, it's toast at close ranges. This is one reason why they are so good in inner city battle settings. Try them in Avranches. The cannons will work wonders in those sharp cornered alleys and streets.
