France completely conquered

Started a new solo game recently.
The Germans leave Rundstedt on the Western Front to flip the reinforcements and hope for good weather.
Weather was extremely good as were the die rolls. 9-10s for the Axis, and 1s for the French.
Needless to say, the Germans get into Paris very early. What suprised me though, was the Vichy Roll.

Did anyone know this would happen?
I wanted to try SeaLion, but I am not sure the best way forward. Any suggestions?

Here are the optional rules I am playing with:

No oil is to provide the axis with an advantage, as well as no 2D10CRT.

It's in RAW. Still, the odds of France getting 0 territories is on a pretty low order of magnitude. You didn't move one of their BBs to the colonies, did you?

It can happen, even with all BB's in France when it falls. It's unlikely, but possible.

For SeaLion, the Germans need naval transports. That usually means starting to build them from the first turn. If you are playing with divisions, you might be able to get a bunch of divisions onto SCS units. But the real problem is the Royal Navy, which makes crossing the North Sea (or Bay of Biscay) very risky.

Taking out Gibraltar is the common solution. You go through Spain and have the Italians go across North Africa to Morocco. Once you have Gibraltar, the Italian navy can help offset the British naval forces. You should have some captured French naval units too.

Alternatively, you can try to control the North Sea with air power. But you will still need transports to get the land units into Great Britain.

It's never easy.[:)]
