Can't upload my new avatar

when choosing the attached image to upload as avatar I get an internal server error.
AFAIK, the picture complies with the requirements.

Is there an amount of minimum posts before uploading an avatar is available?

Shonyu, yes an user must have min 2 posts before being able to upload an avatar.
