Getting rid of the Stirling and creating the P-47 FB only

I have been tinkering with the 44 campaign db and came up with the following idea. I would convert all the Stirling squadrons to Lancasters and eliminate the Stirling from db altogether. Here is my rationale. By the time the scenario starts 190, 196 and 620 squadrons had been converted to glider towing. 623 had been disbanded. 75 squadron converted to Lancs in March 44, 90 in May 44, 149 and 218 in August 44, so I could "delay" their entry in to the game. I then could use the two empty slots for the Lancaster I and III. But these would not be just any Lancaster, these would be strictly for 617 squadron. The Lancaster I would carry the Tallboy bomb and it would upgrade to the Lancaster III in March 1945 carrying the Grand Slam bomb. To offset the fact that other squadrons did carry these weapons, I would keep 190, 196, 620 and 623 squadrons in the game. All this assumes I can get the editor to absorb the Tallboy and Grand Slam.
Second idea would be to create a new family of P-47's for all of the "B" group/squadrons. These ac would carry bombs or rockets. Therefore no escort duties for them, strictly ground attack. Alternative for this would be to have have all the other P-47's be able to carry rockets and the "B"'s would carry bombs. That way all ac would still be available for escort duty, but you would have rocket carrying P-47's ready to take on those nasty panzers when the time came. I would also give the -6 and -15 the 110 gallon drop tank. By this time the 75 gallon one had joined the Dodo bird.
I think the 44 campaign gives you a wider scope to change things up, not only for the Allied player but the Axis (think Turner's mod) player. A much more intriguing scenario.
Those are my ideas and I would like to hear what any of you might think and see what other ideas are out there.
