Do any if you guys play with randomized general stats? Seems a bit more "realistic" as you don't know which generals are good at what until they have a chance to prove their talents or incompetence. Just curios as to whether you find it improves your experience with the game.

mikeCK,

I've just started playing the game, but I randomize the generals. I did the same when playing Forge of Freedom as well.

I like playing that way because, just as happened historically, you don't REALLY know how a general will perform until he is tested in combat (McCellen, anyone?).

Ok, I am mistaken. I had thought that randomization also HID the statistics so you didn't know how a general would perform until after several fights. Having started a game with randomized generals (heavily randomized) I CAN see their stats (strategic, attack and defense). That's pointless to me. Is there an option I am missing to hide those? OR is it that those numbers are assigned but subject to change
