Why is this forum so quiet? Case Blue is an awesome game; runs circles around War in the East. What's up?

This is an excellent game! I have seen posts where people wonder why it hasn't taken off as it should. I have a possible answer. Look at the number of game questions asked over the last year where there no replies. If I was looking this game over for the 1st time that would give me pause. IMO if no one else does, Vic should at least give some kind of a reply to a question that goes unanswered.

I think it's a great game too but the designer seems to have lost all interest in it. It's a terrible waste. I stopped playing because it seems clear the game isn't going anywhere, and there are too many other games that draw my attention and show better support. This game has died of sheer neglect.

But it is not dead...hope not.

All the hype and fanfare about WITE, now that was fun for a bit but way too bug ridden and patch after patch to rebalance and fix things which never worked. This game seems less complex in terms of player keyboard time, yet much more subtle. The decision cards abstract so much that takes way too much time in WITE.

This game could learn one thing from WITE: the commanders report. Imagine being able to quickly segregate divisions/leader by morale, experience, etc and playing the cards as needed - this would be a real boost.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe its something I could look at for DC3.

Best,
Vic

I also agree about the deadness of the forum... however it did not stop me buying both DC games, and playing them... just mostly stopped coming on the forum since it seems few people really reply here... but great game.

I am planning to release new editing tools together with Dc3 and hope these will make it easier to create more user designed scenarios. This is the one thing that ensures lasting forum activity :)

Best,
Vic

Do you mean also creating WtP and CB scenarios with those new tools?

Well, this is interesting and certainly a boon for DC fans: a DCIII is in the works.

See the news here...

I'm surprised neither Vic nor Cameron thought to post anything in this forum.

Is it just Barbarossa or the entire war?

It concerns me that the devs think they need to do something different and new. All they need to do, is do it so that it works. As yet no other East Front game has.
