Sandbox

Hi all!

I only got this game yesterday, and I've been playing nothing but this game since then. I love the depth it has. There is so much information in it, and this makes the game fascinating to play.

As such, I'd like to ask if there could be a sort of 'sandbox' mode included in a future patch - sort of like a game editor, but where you could add units to the battlefield whenever you want - just to test out strategies, tactics, capabilities, etc., of units/weapon systems and combinations thereof.

Would this be possible?

Kage,

Thanks for joining the Red Storm group. You can do what you are asking with the scenario editor of course by making a small scenario on a map and placing units, test it, reload and change things around, rinse, repeat. We do a ton of that in-house to test various systems and effects.

I can see that you would like the ability to add/change units on the fly in-game in this mode. Very cool idea. Possible; yes. Easy to code; not so much, but something similar has been on my mind for the past few days to help with making scenarios. I can see were a similar system could be done for a "sandbox" setting. I'll ad this idea to our wish list items for future features. No promise on a when. We have a pretty full plate right now with 2.04 update and then working the new Southern Storm game.

We hope you enjoy the game and feel free to check out the info in the forum and ask more questions.[8D]
