Multiplayer "Login Syntax Error"

Getting this message when trying to log in to the lobby. I'm pretty certain I have my credentials correct, since I'm using them on the Slitherine site with no issue. Is something up with the multiplayer server?

This turned out to be my having too complex a password. The Slitherine site could handle it, but not the multiplayer server. A simpler password allowed me to log in - though I'm less than thrilled about having to do that...
