As the title says, the Shakturi aren't showing up. Infact, they haven't been showing up in my last 3 game sessions. I was wondering if there is a specific year they show up, or something? I read that some people think they won't show up if you get past a certain level of tech. I tech up really quickly, but even so they didn't show up in the game I set tech to "Very Expensive".

Am I missing something?

they have to be trigger by a beacon, have you found the refugees?

Sort of similar to OP - I had an earlier game where the refugees spawned in a system controlled by pirates, and then the pirates took control of them. I haven't advanced the story line past that since. Did that stop the event chain from continuing?

NewZodiac, can you provide more information? I'm not sure what the exact strigger is for the Eruktah Refugee Beacon but I think it's something along the lines of having everything at tech level 5 all the way a tech line (e.g. high tech). You then need to investigate the Beacon.

I found out how to make it progress, thanks to pycco.

The refugees are indeed the thing that triggers the arrival of the Shakturi. But I didn't go get the refugee ships, which apparently made it so the Shakturi never showed up.

So what I did was use the game editor, add the refugee beacon ruins event to a random planet, and get the refugee ships that way. A bunch of days later the Shakturi showed up!

Last game I played nearly 2 centuries without Shakturi showing up, I wish there was a setting where you can set them to show up BEFORE the galaxy is deemed ready.

Is it moddable what it takes for them to arrive? I'll try adding the refugee beacon manually in my next game.

Agree, the Shakturi should show up at least a tech level earlier ... or two! A mod would be great but it should be a patch ...

i agree so many games i'm waiting for them, i think it should be a date they show up no fuss just its X/XX/XXXX, boom now you die.

There should be a setting called "latest arrival" for the Shakturi, I'd like to play knowing they'll arrive within 70-100 years no matter what, as it is I have to hold back not to conquer the galaxy before their arrival.

yup same here, but i also thought the ancient galaxy setting would end in my defeat.[:(]
