My ships are transformed into pirates

Hi,
I've just noticed this. I loaded a game started in DWU 1.9.5.0 with the just patched 1.9.5.1. Upon resuming the game, a new destroyer has been finished. It went on auto + Engage Nearby Targets. Then I noticed it had a Capture mission:
He is trying to capture an independent civilian ship, as a pirate would do. The thing is, I am playing as Humans. I don't know if it's normal, nor if it was the case with 1.9.5.0 already, but I never noticed anything like this before.

Come on, anyone knows if that's is normal behaviour, is this a bug introduced in 1.9.5.1, did this happen before? I don't dare continue playing until a hotfix if my ships on auto start capturing civilians.

Some Independents are Pirates.
Select the Freighter and see if it gives you any identification info, though this isn't 100%.
There are some Policy settings for this you may want to look at as well.

Here it is, selected. What could make my DD believe he should capture this very independent trader?
What policies could make my military ships suddenly turn on civilians? Is my save from 1.9.5.0 corrupt and should I start a new game?
I wish I started this thread in the Tech Support or General forums, The War Room doesn't seem to have much traffic, I wish I could move it elsewhere.

You could always take a look in the Editor to see if it has Pirate affiliations.

There are some Pandora boxes that I don't want to open

OK, opened the box, this ship is indeed a smuggler from a pirate faction I've been having trouble with. I'm relieved, my saves are not currupted, but now I have to drink myself into forgetting that this god mode exists

.
So, there is still a bug in that my ships see some info that I don't have and that they are not supposed to see?

It may be that your ship detected his real identity, but the game hadn't updated it yet. Did you let it run a short while longer to see if he was revealed as a smuggler?

He stayed independent for a few game days. He warped, my DD lost interest, but two Escort followed him for a few days. But since I left their design on auto, they were only able to do 1200/15000 in warp mode, and I lost interest in the pursuit. For weeks the indy stayed indy. I have a save if that's unintended behaviour and one wants to find out. The chase started on my home system equipped with a long range scanner.

And the automation AI had your ships behave as you've described? Detecting a smuggler disguised as a typical civilian ship and then chasing him out of the system.
I had no idea...
DW just keeps getting better and better!
