Air to Air Combat at Night

In an Air to Air Night Combat in a Barbarossa Scenario V.1.1.9.2 beetween a German Night FTR and a Russian LND the Allied side got a result of 14 at odds of -2, resulting to "-" which was not decreased to AC as I supposed it should have been, shouldn't it?
It has to be mentioned though that it had no practical effect on the overall situation as the Axis side didn't have any bombers to clear through. Nevertheless maybe a (possibly minor) bug here.

with kind regards

Twin engine fighters only suffer the next worst if in combat with other fighters. (They were best against unescorted bombers.)

Well, thats ok with me.
But what I stated (at least I tried :)) was the fact that the unescorted Russian BOMBER (not visible in picture as already aborted) fighting this German twin engined figther got a result against that fighter that was NOT reduced to the next worst result as it should have been, I suppose.

with kind regards

Pardon my misunderstanding. Sounds like a new creepy-crawley has been detected.

You are welcome. Pardon my misleading phrasing in the starting post.

If you got the impression you don't get your point accross in English, I would suggest that you write in both languages. If an English speaker doesn't understand you, I sure will, since I'm part Austrian.

"Deutsch ist aber eine schwere Sprache zum schreiben. Mit die Fälle dazu. Ich habe immer probleme um die Sachen gut zu schreiben"...

There are probably some miss spelled words in that line, but I think I get my point accross...

If this were a night mission, then the program is correct, since the effect of twin engine fighters on the combat result only applies to day missions. But if it were a day mission, then this is a bug.

No Steve, I initially made the same misread. The problem is that it was a night mission and the BOMBER's result was not reduced. [During air-to-air combat at night, all aircraft except night fighters (those aircraft with a black circle around its air-to-air rating) achieve one result less than normal.]

Also, if it were a day mission, the twin engine fighter would suffer no penalty, as that only applies against other non-twin-engine fighters.

Okay.

But I still would like to know if this was a day or a night mission.[&:]

I should display that fact as part of the air-to-air combat form. Now if I can just find a place for it, ....
