I've heard the music - all of it before. But I can only positively ID one theme from Star Wars, a Jurassic Park tune and what I believe to be a tune from Baldurs Gate 1.

There's a few more in DW I recognize but cannot place the source. Which ones am I missing?

None of the music is original to DW. It all comes from other sources, a few of which I named.

I'm kind'a interested in what all the tunes are and what movies or other games they came from.

They most likely are simply inspired by the soundtracks you have listed. I doubt they are direct copies. It's often how music artists do things.

Personally, I do recognize one of them as something that could've come straight out of Star Wars.

The music reminds me of john williams and some tv star trek scores. I can't exactly place any of the tracks tho. Just sounds in-the-style-of with some near-quoting/paraphrasing of tunes.

I just listen to my old rock CDs while I'm playing. I have never left the in game music on...this is true for all games I play. [;)]

Yeah well, I'm OLD too, so it's fitting. [:'(] Let's face it, most of the stuff I listen too was probably recorded before the majority of our player base was born. [8|]

I never liked the soundtrack - it's too loud and dramatic.

So I usually play a big old mixtape playlist of soundtracks from EVE, The X series and such in my music player instead.

There's one violin piece in DW that just sets my teeth on edge. For that reason I turn the music off.

Can the stock DW music be replaced? Or source adjusted to point it at another location?
