I play pre-warp 1000star in extend universe mod.
I confused about auto retrofit.
when I complete the research, don't appear pop-up message with auto retrofit.
I check the prompt retrofit when complete new research in empire policy screen.
but why is that?

I have 70,000 credit.
my version is 1.9.5.3

the auto retrofit will only pop up in my experience when the ai has an available design, this is usually limited by the size of ship available AFAIK

Ai already have auto design by upgraded new tech.
this race have +10% military ship size.
so, this curise ship have 330max ship size.

In the Ships and Bases screen (F11) you can multi-select ships and bases in the list at the top (Ctrl-Click, Shift-click, etc) and then click the Retrofit button.

If you select ships of the same type (e.g. all frigates) then you can also select a specific design to retrofit them to (assuming you have more than one valid design for that type). FROM STEAM PAGE

other than that not sure why the pop-up would not pop-up, the ai might be trying to wait until more techs are done to do so.

I alreay know this manual upgrade way(because i seached).
so. ok, I try this way. but, I wish this auto retrofit pop-up screen worked well.

wow, i see.
this option is key.
ship builiding and I change from "controll manually" to "suggest new ship and base".
is work well.

so, I don't know why this option is located.
this option perhaps should move to "ship design" from "ship building".
