El Guettar Map

The map is almost done. I've simplified it some because the terrain is very detailed. I am using 50m elevation contours and I've left off a number of dry stream beds, small villages, etc. I wanted a cleaner feel to the map and I frankly wanted to play this sooner rather than later. A complete trace of the map I cropped would have taken forever.

This is a trace of a US Army map:

New terrain features: wadis, sebkhas, sand flats and megalithic ruins.

I am developing a fictional what-if scenario that simulates the German 10th Panzer Division arriving early to reinforce the Italian Centauro division at Gafsa, just as the American 1st Infantry division attacks the town.

Historically the Germans arrived after the Italians had fled the town and the American army had secured the oasis of El Guettar to the east of Gafsa.

Certainly do appreciate all the scenarios you mod and produce...

Thanks,
All the best,

Lust curious why you prefer the angular "corner point" contours over the smoother "control point" contour lines?

Hi Simovitch. Habit I guess. I've never tried to do it any other way.
