Is release 1.9.5.4 worth playing in its current condition? Is there a way to roll back my installation to 1.9.5.3 until a new patch comes out?
I'm on Steam which auto-updates and I seem to be stuck with 1.9.5.4 at the moment. Thanks.

No, it's a complete piece of shit.
Game started crashing (hadn't been before).
Planetary facilities & troops not showing up in F2 menu.
Seems like nothing but a slew of new bugs.

I'm not having any of the issues that people have been reporting. Just the one i had before it was even released with influence bubbles.

Thanks guys. Anyone know of a way to have Steam not auto-update until you give permission? I'd prefer to finish my in progress games before moving onto the latest version.

I even tried reinstalling. Of course it gave me problems with the leftovers in the directory, and I wiped it, and now I can't find a place to get the previous patch.
Getting the same issues with fresh patched install.
I don't use Steam so no idea how to deal with that end.

1.9.5.4 isn't giving me the problems that some have reported. Any issues with game play, the AI, ship design (an old favorite whine of mine) etc. are not exacerbated in the latest patch. My experience has been that the patches load and run fine.

I am not on steam for this game.
5.4 works fine. except that resource flagging is bugged so occasionally I have enemy ships procuring resources from my bases or planets. Perhaps there is a steam issue?
