Hello,

Once my steam updated to 1.9.5.4 I lost some ability to cycle map properties on and off. I can't see any ship vectors nor colony influence on the main screen but I can see the influence on the mini-map. Also, When stars are explored their names are not populating on the map. The editor is also not working with respect to exploring unknown systems.

I'm very new to the game so I might be missing something. I initially thought I had corrupted my install but unfortunately, upon re-install, the issues persist.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

For system names, make sure you did not check "clear galaxy" or something similar at startup.

For the overlays, check the buttons above the minimap. The game defaults to not showing influence circles.

I started a new game and ensured I did not "clear galaxy" to no avail. The influence circles and ship vectors will not display despite them being toggled on. Strangely, all other toggles work as intended.

I suppose this is endemic to my system alone considering nobody else has reported similar instances. Is there any diagnostic information I should provide so as to help sort this out better?

I'm embarrassed to say I did have clear galaxy checked on. I was focusing on the other clear galaxy tab in the start screen. I'm a dumb noob, problem solved, thanks for the help! [:D]

Where is this "clear galaxy" setting? I'm having the same problem with the influence and state ship trajectory on the main map. I cannot where I can turn this off.

It's easy to miss, because it doesn't show up when you're actually playing a game.

So you have to go to the main menu, i.e., the one that says

Tutorials
Start New Game
Load Game
etc.

Go to 'Options', select 'Advance Settings' and you'll see the check box for 'Clean Galaxy view' at the bottom.
