I'd rather have 8-10 lines than only 4 so I wouldn't have to backtrack in the log if I feel that I might have missed something.

Is there a config setting for this?

No, at the moment all you can do is open the message log and find the recent messages
you were looking for. You can put your request in the Master Wishlist and Elliot could
consider it.

There used to be more lines, but this was reduced following a recent change to the fonts. It's a difficult issue, because without the change some people (including me) couldn't read the message box at all, but with the change some other people can't see as many messages as they would like. Personally, I tend to favour the side of those people who previously couldn't read the box at all (well, I would, wouldn't I? ), but as ehsumrell said they are looking at issues like this (no pun intended).

OK, thanks. I don't like to pause continually but the messages flash by and the log into is presented to click on each entry rather than a list to skim. I rather have the option of color coded floating text (red, yellow green, white) and the ability to go back and read/click after finishing what I was doing. But I can just pause till the space bar wears out.

Why can't the window height simply be adjustable by click-and-dragging the bottom edge up and down? Then everyone could have whatever they want.
