I have noticed some opponents' Axis units in fields with entrenchment values > 100. How is this possible with the entrenchment level of 100 maximum?

AFAIK this is possible if there are fortification units nearby.

Its probably the fog of war.

And I think 100 is only a limit for plain landscape and for example hills can give much higher entrenchment.
