Windowed mode

When I add the -w to run in windows the game runs smoother but I lose the industrials at the bottom of the screen.
I run 1920x1080. Does anybody else have this problem and a solution?

Post your switches so a closer examination can be conducted.

Change your resolution switches to 1920 x 1000. That should allow you to move the window up and see your industrials.

IIRC - from my many past misdeeds the natural resolution of your monitor can play a part in the process.As well as if its a laptop screen or a desktop screen.
an alternative from the switches, and likely if you have a laptop, if you check your video card maximum resolution and then choose one level back from it - you might not have to even go the windowed mode. My HP laptop liked that solution - it gave me all kinds of problems trying to do it with the -w mode. Conversely you may be able to reduce the resolution in the switches (as EHansen points out above) and your computer may accept it that way too.

When I run outside of windows(remove -w) I get the full map, but that's when I get slow response to mouse clicks.
I normally like to run in windows so I can shrink the screen and access data folders I have made, but it makes it
much harder to play the Japanese when I easily look at the factories.
I am running a desktop Intel core-duo 2.4, 8 gigs memory and 550ti card.
