hi, I have had my Aussie brd's in strat mode for ages, xAP with enough load capacity and in big ports like Adelaide and Brisbane but they are not showing in alist when i try and load them. I am doing something wrong but what?

They are probably from a restricted command. You cannot load troops from a restricted command onto ships. You must first pay the PPs to change their command to something unrestricted {like Southwest Pacific}.

They maybe restricted units.

If they aren't showing in the list, it means they aren't able to be loaded onto any ship - which means restricted. If they are simply in the wrong mode, it will tell you this on the load screen and the unit will be listed.

I use aussie 1st corps or army. Can't remember which at the momment. Also cost less. GP

I have this problem with Aussie units all the time. I attribute it to Bundaberg rum!! If you ever have the chance to try it....don't.
