I got this crash last night:

Just out of curiousity, do you launch Distant Worlds from Steam, or from the Distant World launcher?

I found that DW is less stable when launched from Steam.

I have it installed through steam, but use the shortcut on my desktop that goes to the DW launcher.

I'm not sure if there is any differences between the Matrix version and the Steam version (probably none) so I don't know what else to suggest.

Personally, after my Steam-launched version crashed all the time, I installed the Matrix version and used it instead. I guess I could just run a diff between the two installations and see if there are any differences. I'll update this when I find out.
