Hi,

Towards the end of the installation process, a prompt appears to install some components of DirectX9.

If I were installing the game under win 8 (which uses DirectX11), should I also follow the prompt and install the suggested DirectX9 components?

I always do, without any problems (on my windows 8.1 and windows 7 machines - there is no current version of windows which has to use directx 9, I believe). The directx install, I have been told, does not replace anything modern with old, but there are games type elements specific only to 9 that the game needs in addition (and many other games too, I notice.) But you could run it without the direct x 9 install and see what happens. That way you would know for sure.[;)]
