Are long range scanners working in 1.9.5.5? I have a "basic proximity array" installed but I don't see the shadow-y circle around my ships when I switch on "Show Long Range Scanners". Long range scanner ability is very important! Am I missing something? Thanks.

\Edit: Forget about it. I need to research "Long Range Scanners" for that. "Basic proximity array" is not a long range scanner type. Can be closed.

You actually still have a point. Often ships with long range scanners don't display the pale range circle on the map until they are stationary for a while, even though they do detect ships within that radius at all times, even when the range circle is invisible. Not a huge bug, but a bug nonetheless.

It might not be a bug but something that was done for performance reasons.
