How to access PBEM savegames?

We often have up to two days between doing a turn and I am afraid it could be more in the future. But while I am waiting for the incoming save of my friend, I sometimes think about the game and have some ideas how to proceed in the war. How could I open the savegame to review the situation I sent to my friend?

A novel idea! However, it opens up the SPY vs SPY plots. We all would like to know what the other guy is doing, especially the screwball AI, then again, I would not want you to know what I am doing, it robs the strategy and tactics from a match. Certainly a post game audit, would be nice, then again that could be abused too, it seems that the game screams out for a statistical summary (including results for both sides) at the end of a match. If you really want to let the other guy know what you are doing; give a personal AAR complete with screenshots, it's tedious, but can be done. There is a savegame feature, that is used for reporting bugs, from what I have seen these are all data without video, often these are displayed in the tech problem threads. that's all for now. Good luck,

Sir, I really don't want to spy on my opponent's actions. I just want to have a chance to review the situation from my perspective, preferably at the time I ended my turn...
It really annoys me to having to screenshot everything to be able to look into the front after I concluded my turn.
Of course I see the danger of abuse, in case I could load that in my opponent's role. I would trust him on that but maybe some feature preventing that would be much more safe for the lots of tournaments between people not really knowing each other...

Rongor,
I concur with what you are saying, Yes I would love to review previous actions, much like you can against the AI, however, the temptation to alter the results through "savedgames" in MP a tough one, especially after making a bonehead move. In the old Sid Meyer games, like Gettysburg. Antedam and Austerlitz there was an in game camera that could be activated at the end of play turn for review of the entire turn (really RTS), but if IIRC , this review did not allow a player to alter the turn.
Just thinking, Bob
