Could some kind soul please inform me of the latest playable version of the game?

I am looking to get some refresher time in before resuming play again with 1.08. It's sounding promising.

Current version is 1.07.15

Always the same problems with a too permissive logistic and a momentum without any stop but mild blizzard is really fun.

It's now possible for the german to achieve victory in 1942.

1.08 should be released end august.

Thanks :)

Is 1.07.15 a beta? Is it bug free?

It's a public beta and to the best of my knowledge has been well received, although people are anxious for 1.08 for obvious reasons. I haven't seen really serious bug reports from 1.07.15 and to the contrary, it fixes several bugs that were causing some real problems. In the end nothing is actually bug free but this one appears to be working well.

No, 1.07.15 is official, but it still has some fleas that are being eradicated in 1.08.
The 1.08 patch is supposed to go official real soon according to Morvael.

Wheat and I are having a blast with 1.07.15 playing GC with initial settings of:
Fortification 75/75
Logistics 90/100
Transport 100/100
Admin 105/110
A limit on the Lvov pocket by a German movement limit in the south. (6 hex penetration per turn for first two turns).
A limit of one sapper/pioneer per unit for both sides (but no limit on stuffing HQs).

Still experimenting with the mix.

1.08 will add the ability to tweak Allied morale. Should be interesting.

We first need to iron out some more bugs in 1.08 before release so don't expect it before end of august. And this will be a real Beta which needs thorough testing to ensure it works with both old and new games, single and multiplayer.
The new production system with upgrade paths split between units and factories is great, it permits more freedom for continued use of factories despite producing very different tanks or aircraft. The Pz 38(t)E and IVf should not be blockers anymore + the ground element swap function works way better now.

Would be very interesting to see you take on Oshawott. He plays a mighty impressive Axis game.

Yes, I second that suggestion. Clash of the titans.[:D]
The latest version seems sound, Morvael has done an excellent job. You'll like the new blizzard. I think the 41 campaign still favors the Soviets overall, but if the Axis can get a snowball rolling in 42 they can win with the 260 version.

Would love to see an AAR with Michael T and Oshawott.

Rust in Oz? Thought it was too dry to rust there.

Oshawott plays a mighty impressive Soviet game, too. Actually both these guys could take either side and make a go of it.

Make it happen. The people demand it.

Agreed with Flaviuxs. Both sides will be fine

But as at present I'm getting a beating as GHC, I shall like verifying if I'am a monkey or if Oshawott is really a very strong player.

I would really like to see you as german against him!

I am going to check out some of the AAR's from the last 12 months. See what's been going on....

What happened to our old friend Pelton?

No Mark, I am re-entering the fray with 1.08.

Case Blue just doesn't come up to scratch in too many area's.

Ron's game is still a long way off completion.

So here I am back again. It hasn't been as long as I thought actually. My last shot in anger was October 2013. 10 months. I thought I had been away over a year. It's been a good break. I will resume playing WITE with a renewed enthusiasm [:)]

I am sending the goon squad with strait jackets before it is too late...

What about you Flaviusx, have you fired up a game of WITE recently???

No, I've settled into a role as grumpy critic. Was going to do something with Pelton, but he went AWOL.

Been many months since I fired up the game, but following AARs is fun.
