Hi All,
Some time ago I prepared an estab file to build scenarios for German invasion of Poland in 1939. It contains all weapon and vehicles used by Wehrmacht and Polish Army in the campaign and most OOB for units of the period. I also have created two scenarios (one historical and one fictional) based on Jordanow-Rabka battle between polish motorized units (10 BK)and German XVIII Armeee Korps between 1-3.09.1939. I wonder if anyone would be interested in trying out the scenarios and maybe improve or even add new ones?

I'd like to try it out.

The last time I played anything from this period it was Squad Leader. I think I was 14 last time I played.

On a side note, damn I'm old!

Absolutely! Post them here Ux, or post a link. I would certainly try them if the map looked tempting. I'm sure you'll find many interested.

In the estab file I used German for german forces naming and Polish for polish forces respectively. I'd like to keep like that, so some basic translations from Polish here:
Brygada (B, Bryg.) - Brigade
10 Brygada Kawalerii (10BK) - 10th Cavalry Brigade
Warszawska Brygada Pancerno-Motorowa (WBPM) - Warsaw Armoured-Motorized Brigade
Pułk (P) - Regiment
Pułk Strzelców Konnych (PSK) - Mounted Rifle Regiment
Pułk Ułanów (PUł., PU) - Uhlan (Lancers) Regiment
Pułk Strzelców Pieszych (PSP) - Foot Rifle Regiment
Dywizjon (Dyon) - tactical unit used in Polish cavalry between squadron and regiment level - usually two squadrons.
Szwadron (Szw.) - Squadron
Batalion (Baon) - Battalion
Kompania (Komp.) - Company
Pluton (Pl) - Platoon
Bateria (Bat.) - Battery
Haubica (Haub.) - Howitzer
Armata (Arm.) - Infantry Gun
Czołg (Cz.) - Tank
Piechota (Piech.) - Inafantry
Rozpoznawczy (Rozp.) - Reconnaissance
Saper (Sap.) - Engineer
Plot - AA
ppanc - AArm
CKM - heavy machine gun
Strzelec (Strz.) - Rifleman
motocykl. - motor bike

Shouldn't there be an xml file for the estab or do I need to make it, somehow?

.coe file is the compiled version of the estab file. You can use it in your scenarios but cannot edit and modify it. I will attach full xml later as it also requires all images to be copied.

I think it makes one when you load it, no? Load it in the estab editor, I mean.

Unfortunately, I can't find the xml file with the others online and the editor needs an xml to load the coe. So, I'm kinda stuck, I guess.

Unless, of course, there is something I'm not understanding.

Well, I used the xml file in the scenario maker to create the cos file. Upon loading the scenario, though, I get an error which indicates that neither side has forces or orders.

Am I doing something wrong?

You cannot use Estab xml file in the Scenario Maker. Estab xml file is only needed when you want to modify estabs and you do it in the Estab Editor. Then, using Estab Editor you compile xml foile into .coe. And the .coe is used to create scenarios in Scenario Maker.
You already have .coe file so you don't need .xml and Estab Editor unless you want to create or modify weapons, vehicles, unit equipment etc.
You want to create a new scenario, right? It is not straightforward and I'd read the manual first. Otherwise your scenarios will usually not work. I will post two scenarios based on the estab and the map I already uploaded. It will be little easier to modify them than to create from scratch. And of course you will be able to play them straight away.

Actually, I just want to play your scenario. I need a cos file to do that. I'm trying to make one.

Is it intentional that there is no supply base present in the scenario?
