I'm playing as the American in the return to base phase and have come upon a fatal error. I have an American cruiser in the Artic Ocean that needs to return to base since it is in the Zero section. I have two German subs in the Norwegian Sea area that weren't returning to base. I can't move the cruiser anywhere. I can't move to a Soviet port since I don't have an American HQ there to increase foreign troop commitment. I can't move back to an allied port in England or the American port in Iceland.

I can't use the end phase Shift-Enter command as it is blacked out. That sure would be nice if I could force that phase to end and leave that cruiser in the Artic. Or it would be good if I could delete the cruiser to move on. I thought the cruiser was supposed to fight it's way through the Norwegian Sea area to get home. I sure hope this is fixed soon as it sure is bad to have the game stop like this.

I know I can work around this problem by going back to the stay at sea phase and just return the German subs to port. It almost looks like we can't leave ships at sea if they might have to fight their way through enemy ships to get back to port. I'll have to see if putting the British HQ Gort in the USSR helps alleviate this problem of foreign troop commitment.

Okay I found the Space-Enter command listed in the hex info area and it worked like a charm. I decided against interception since it was stormy weather in the Norwegian Sea area and didn't want to waste a search. I'm glad I didn't have to go back to the stay at sea phase and do that and the return to base phases all over again.
