New video card causes probelms?

Put In a decent NVidia card and now the game still runs mind you but the edges are all black with white writing. The map looks fine. Also can't see any action buttons. Using the latest drivers and 8.0 Windows. Any ideas? Re-Install ya think?

You get the intermediary splash screen when you start, inviting you to select the resolution? You mess around with that at all? If you start with 'quick start' then you won't get those options (and might have forgotten they're there), in which case go into the game folder and find the long-start application icon. I mean the screen below, yes:
