I'm ready!

Anybody wanna break in a noob? Looking for my first pbem opponent, I'd prefer to play campaign 41 as allies, but if somebody had a better idea, I'd listen to it. No clue on house rules since nobody's responded to my other post, so you'll have to let me know what rules we should use. I have a lot of time on my hands right now, so I should be able to play frequently.
Any takers?

I do not have the bandwidth to commit but I have played two games vs Brad Kay in recent years (lost both). Brad has/had both an updated version that corrected some of the production issues (unintended consequences of the SSI to Matrix version). I likely have a file of house rules and will input my opinion. After PCW, I played 8 games of Uncommon Valor (lost all) and currently have two campaign games of War in the Pacitic: Struggle vs Japan campaigns going. I have WTIP Admirals Edition but the unnecessary complexity is too much to me.
I have been playing Gary Grigsby designs since the early 1980s on my Apple IIe. PCW remains a good compromise between playabilty and complexity. Where PCW is weekly turns, WITP is daily turns. I am almost one year into my two WITP games; one vs Australian IJN, two turns a day+ is now in July 1943. Other vs Frenchman is only May 1942 (I get perhaps 5-6 turns (day) a month. It will be around the year 2020 before my Central Pacific push will start. PCW takes about 8 months.
If you have no takers in a few weeks, I can be talked into a game but I historically always play Allies (likely with questionable ability) and have no interest in playing IJN. This is a consequence from my boardgaming days in 1970s-current where I always play the opposition for the Axis, German, Napoleon, Caesar, Japan, Central Powers, Confederates.

Let me say two things here.
1) Bill is a good player.
2) Bill was the motivation for me creating a modified scenario.
Playing allies, he observerd two things: why are the Brits etc stuck with the F4F for years when historically they used US Army aircraft, and what am I to do with 10,000 B25s?
Anyway, Bill, thank you!

Me too, have Jap first turn ready to go. Raising sun scenario (1941). Sent me your email as PM and we can start if you like my simple rules. I would add the teleportation exploits Istfemer discovered to the list of nono's.

I always play the opposition for the Axis, German, Napoleon, Caesar, Japan, Central Powers,
But doesn't that mean you play on the side of Japan in WWI games? [;)]

Actually in WWI its always in Europe, opposition for the Central Powers.
I need to resume my 2nd game with Brad to help validate the changes. Have to remember which computer the game resides.

Bill, that game produced valuable data already. The first one, well, I really appreciate you playing a modification that still had some settings based on rough estimates. And I want to say the same to others who have played it, reported information to me, and made recommendations.
