Does anyone know how I can load planes onto my carriers using the editor? If not how do I load planes onto the carriers once the game has begun? Thx folks!

Hi Saladin
On the main screen of the UV editor there are 6 buttons arrayed across the top of the screen (Ships, Air Groups, Locations, Pilots, Leaders and Campaign Data), click on Air Groups.
The Unit list on the left side of the screen will now display all of the air groups available in the given database file. Click on the unit you want to place on a CV and then look for the 'location' pulldown field to the middle-right of the air group list. The location field has a two button toggle for base and ship assignments, click the ship button. Now pull down the location field (i.e. click the down arrow in the location field) and all available ships that can carry a/c will be listed.
NB, make sure the the ship you are assigning the a/c to is appropriate for your needs, transport, flight ops, etc..
Gus
Thx

Gus thx for your help with my question. Just wondering...are some carriers limited to the type of planes they can carry...in other words you can't fly bombers off carriers right? Thx

Hi Salaldin,
That's right, there will be no Dolittle raids in this game

You can only place carrier capable planes on carriers. To the best of my limited UV editor knowledge there is no explicit way to tell which planes can operate off of CV's so you will have to bring this info with you. If you are unfamiliar with the a/c from this era try out the following links;
