Best full campaign scenario for Barbarosa

Hi, I am considering to purchase War in the East, but the price is not cheap so I would like to explore TOAWIII scenarios that offer similar action.
I have read that FITE is only PEM and does not offer to play against PC.
1) Which ones you recommend for the full Russian Campaign 41-45 that are playable for TOAWIII as German?
Directive 21 for example?
2) Is there any scenario where the units that belong to each German army have different colors to easily visualization?

I bought WitE soon after it came out. Some were saying it was the best East Front game EVER. After playing it a few times I realized it is most certainly not the best East Front game. GG decided time and space should be ignored and decided on more of a game aspect instead of a realistic war game. It's kinda like saying checkers is better than chess. The production routine is fun and different. But the movement, combat, supply and ZOC stuff is bad. Some Soviet players move their factories forward so the Germans can destroy them and free things for other factories. There's far too much gamey stuff going on. But hey, it's your money. And lots of it for this thing.

Directive 21 (as Axis) against Soviet (PO) is a nice surprise.
Any experienced player will obviously win but is a real "nail biting" challenge.

Drang nach Osten by Daniel McBride is the best eastern front scenario in any game released so far.
I would also consider other TOAW eastern front scenarios before going to WitE.

True, FitE is pbem only, which is why we made D21. There are also a couple at Rugged Defense you might want to look at.
DNO does not cover the full campaign so hardly qualifies as
the best eastern front scenario .

Huh? [&:] I can understand why a scenario you had a hand in making might be to you the best ever but DNO covers the East Front. Therefore it is an East Front scenario is it not? So why is it a problem that someone considers it better than yours? I happen to like both of them. Both have their good points and bad points.
BTW, Barbarossa was only the 1941 campaign. Not the entire War in the East.

Sorry, but I was replying to this.
Also, I did mention that Barbarossa was only the 1941 part of the war. Just trying to keep him from making an $80 or $90 mistake. You are correct about D21 as far as I know.
